CATHERINE ALLEN, E-RYT, Forrest Yoga Guardian & Mentor Teacher

Catherine Allen, Certified Forrest Yoga Teacher and Mentor, E-RYT, has been teaching yoga since 2001. She is a compassionate and motivational teacher who gives you newfound confidence in your ability to heal, strengthen, and evolve both on and off the mat. Catherine will support you through your personal journey on the mat so that you can walk your life path as a more self-empowered, passionate, and breath-filled person.

Catherine is Teacher Liaison to the Forrest Yoga teachers community worldwide and is a Guardian of the Forrest Yoga Legacy. She serves as Ana Forrest's Lead Assistant and as part of Ana's teaching team at teacher training courses nationally. As a teacher trainer, Catherine supports yoga teachers by encouraging them to find their authentic voice, to step into their roles as healers, and to share their unique gifts with the world. She and Heidi Sormaz are the first Forrest Yoga Guardians to be authorized by Ana Forrest to co-teach the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training in 2012.

Through intelligent sequencing combined with her deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, Catherine's classes are designed to help you breathe more skillfully, to sweat out and dissolve stubborn layers of tension, to hone your awareness and attention, and to help you courageously reveal your authentic self. Everyone will be challenged in a safe and nurturing environment. You will expand your edges, make new discoveries about yourself, and leave class feeling completely cleansed and rejuvenated!

Catherine's most influential teachers include Ana Forrest, Robert Boustany, Monti Mayrend, and Dharmavirsingh Mahida, with whom she studied intensively in India. Catherine has completed teacher trainings with Lex Gillian (200 hours), Robert Boustany (200 hours), and Ana Forrest (Foundation 200 hours & Advanced 74 hours). She lives in Houston, TX, practices yoga with her awesome husband, and continues her advanced yoga studies under the tutelage of her beloved canine and feline companions!
